Why am I doing this?

I'm a mom of three and live in Cape Town, South Africa. I home school my children the way's of the Lord!

You might not be aware but there is a huge need for taking care of abandoned babies. So with prayer my family and I committed to help where we can. My 3 children said they will give up all there extramural for a term so we can help.

The Law gives the birth mom 60 days to withdraw the adoption process. Thus our minimum time to take care of a baby is 60 days. If the mother doesn't withdraw the adoption within that 60 days, the adoption period may start. That takes at least 4 months. So we could be required to take care of the baby for 6 months.

BABY 1: Within 2 week's after we signed up as a Kangeroo mom I had my first baby and am absolutely loving every moment. Our first baby was a prem baby and she weighed 1.250kg.

BABY 2: Just one week later I got a phone call asking if I am willing to take another baby. We prayed as a Family and decided to take another one. I didn't realize the need is so big. My second baby was 3 day's old. I had her for two weeks. Then her mother claimed he back. Reconciliation bittersweet!

 

BABY 3: Not long after that there was another baby. Feisty, Strong and had been abandoned twice.  He was adopted and given back. I'm happy to say he is with me until we can find forever parents for him.

We now have looked after numerous babies - and each one is special to us.
